It’s being 3 months now since Funke Akindele’s marriage to politician/businessman Alhaji Kehinde
Oloyede Almaroof ended with a very publicized breakup that completely
overwhelmed Funke, broke her down and almost
threatened her celebrity status (not to talk of the emotional pain that came from all the shocking and disturbing
tales of her ex-husband’s extra-marital relationships that led to not less than 10 love children).
Having survived the pain and hurt, Funke Akindele shared this picture of herself yesterday looking all prettied up and sexy on Instagram to celebrate her strength.
So happy for her really. She looks smashing!

Arguably two of the funniest people in
Nollywood, Funke Akindele & Nkem Owoh are teaming up on a new movie.
Pictures have been posted from the set of the shoot, which show the duo wearing primary school uniforms and looking jolly as ever.
When the movie comes out, its sure bound to be a funny one.
Just thought it wise to wish Nigerian Entertainers and Comic stars, Funke Akindele and Osita Ihame a belated HBD before the stroke of mid-night which signals the days end….. The 1982 born Osita Iheme who happens to be a Graduate of Mass Communications from Enugu State University was brought to limelight by the 2003 “Aki Na Ukwa” movie where he played the role “Pawpaw” while 37 year old recently divorced Funke Akindele shot to stardom and national acclaim after acting in the role of Zuliyat/Jenifa in the multiple award winning movie “Jenifa” which she wrote (I so can’t wait for Jenifa 4).
In a recent interview, Funke Akindele has
Reportedly announced that there will be a final fourth part
to her hit comedic movie franchise, “Jenifa”.
Jenifa which was Funke Akindele’s major breakthrough movie, opened her to international recognition and acclaim alongside. ambassadorial positions with brands like qlichy.com, Glo and Vitafoam.
The part 4 is expected to showcase the new life of Jenifa in the United States of America after her travails in part 1 through 3. I’m just glad she’ll be busy doing what she loves and does best (making us laugh) especially after her month old marital debacle with now estranged husband Kehinde Oloyede.
In what is likely an ambassadorial reshuffle, Globacom is rumoured to have terminated the contracts of a
number of high-profile Nollywood stars.
Those dropped include Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Mike Ezuruonye, Monalisa Chinda, Nonso Diobi, and Odunlade Adekola.
While Chioma Chukwuka, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and Desmond Elliot have reportedly still maintained
their status as ambassadors of the telecoms giant.
A little over a year after tying the knot with Kehinde Oloyede, Funke Akindele’s marriage has ended (they got hitched on Saturday May 26th 2012).
Kehinde Oloyede shared the news of their split on his Facebook page (which he has since deleted). He wrote:
“It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me nd ma wife Mrs olufunke akindele,we’ve both agreed to go our separate
ways coz of irreconcilable differences. we still best of friends nd we 4ever remain gud friends”.
Later he added…
“Am doing just fine, gettn along without u,don’t need u anymore in ma life.u d greatest mistake av made in recent time”.
To further confirm the breakup, Funke also recently changed her BB name from Mrs Funke Akindele Oloyede to “Everybody loves Jenifa”.
