The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are reaching a consensus with the federal government (FG) of Nigerian through a 19-man committee representing the government; headed by Governor Gabriel Suswam.
Governor Suswam disclosed that it has resolved many outstanding issues with ASUU in a meeting which began yesterday 26th July, 2013. Among the 9 demands of ASUU, only 2 are pending and they shall be tackled next week says Suswam.
Governor Suswam said the committee will work tirelessly to wipe out all the issues that has led to strikes for several decades as well the enhancement of internally generated revenue base of all public universities in the country.
